Contemporary Living Room, Weybridge

This project was focused on a Living room in a modern, detached house in Weybridge. The room was exceptionally long with a fireplace opposite the entrance and the clients were have difficulty making the space work in terms of layout and design. They had a young family with a play area for the children so wanted this to be an adult space for relaxing and entertaining.

The brief was to help with the redesign of this space and to provide a layout that worked for the room. They wanted a light and airy room with a contemporary feel using soft, muted shades. We opted for a neutral create a colourful scandi theme in the room and help with the layout of the space. We decided to use a mushroom and off white colour scheme to keep the space light and neutral but using texture as to bring out some depth to the design but with a seperate reading area with some lovely teal chairs which add a pop of colour to the space.

The room is painted in Dulux European White and the feature wall is wallpapered in Aegean IO wallpaper by Sanderson. We had the curtains and blinds made bespoke in a darker mushroom with an embroidered sliver pattern, adding a different texture to the room. The sofa is in a soft grey velvet and the added furniture pieces are metal and marble, again adding different textures to the design.  The bookcases were the clients own and the design very much complements the dark wood here.

The finished design offers a contemporary space the clients were looking for with a separate reading area adding in a teal colour to the scheme. A relaxing, textural style in a contemporary finish.
