How We Work
Most of our services follow the process described below however big or small and whether in-person or online. All services tend to follow stages 1 and 2 with the full design service carrying on through stages 3 to 6 although these are all fully flexible and can be added in according to your requirements.
We can also help with the project management and completion of your design scheme and have a full team of tradespeople to help with this. You may also prefer to manage the design installation yourselves in which case we will hand the project over to you at this stage.
All of the above will be discussed at the free initial consultation.
1. Initial Consultation:
During this consultation, we will discuss your requirements, style and colour preferences as well as how you use the space(s) so we can ensure we tailor your design to your own taste and needs. This is an informal discussion and often takes around an hour (for our online service this is done via telephone).
2. Preparation of Ideas:
Once we have an idea of your design requirements, we will put together some ideas and examples of various style options. To facilitate this, we will create a Pinterest board where we can both can post any ideas and preferences. For the full package, this will be presented in the form of a concept/ideas board, often a couple of options of this will be drawn up to enable an informed desicion. These ideas will then be discussed with you in detail alongside any floorplans we may have prepared at the follow-up meeting.
3. Floorplan & 3D images:
For those using the full desgin service, a plan of the space(s) to be designed will be drawn up along with some 3D images of the rooms. These will include layout options which will be discussed with you prior to making any final decisions. If required, we can also arrange for full 3D rendering of your space to help visualise the design in more detail.
4. Collation of Samples:
Once a decision has been made regarding layout and style/colour preferences, we will look to collate specific items and samples of fabrics, wallpaper and paint etc. These are often presented in the form of a moodboard to help you visualise the overall design of your room(s).
5. Final Decision & Ordering:
At this stage, we will be making decisions regarding the specific items for your design. We can help with ordering items for you and have access to a number of suppliers for items such as lighting and accessories, not readily available on the high street. We can also recommend and liaise with tradespeople including painters & decorators, carpenters, builders, electricians, kitchen & bathroom fitters, curtain & blind makers and upholsterers.
6. Installation & Completion:
As part of our full Interior Design Service, we can recommend or work with your own tradespeople to assist with the decoration and installation of your items and oversee the delivery of various furniture and accessory pieces to ensure the final design is to our and your expectation.
